Native Indian "Business Culture"?

 

Today's News is tomorrow's topic of discussion:  Canada, Mexico, and the United States have large populations of Native Indians.  In the USA Native American Indians are the poorest of all of America's ethnic groups.  Many Native Indians feel that the programs administered by the US Government are not working.  “The White Man spends more money on themselves than they do on Native American Indians”.  Native Indians believe that; “It is easier for the Whiteman to get a paycheck than for a Native American Indian to get a Business Loan or a Grant”.

US Government Budgets = $3 Billion Annually for 9,000 Non-Native Indian Employees.

Targeted Victimization:  Native American Small Business Owners and Native Americans may apply for various federal and state minority-owned business grants and loans. There are also grants, and loans targeted specifically for Native American businesses through public and private agencies. Eligibility usually requires membership in a recognized tribe.

Application Denied you = "DO NOT QUALIFY"

The Native American Indian rejection rates or "Application Denied" rates for program grant and loan applications are speculated to be as high as 95% for all of the programs indicated below.  The ones who benefited from the application for a grant or loan assistance was the off-reservation, non-Native Indian employees who received a paycheck to tell the Native American Indian that you "DO NOT QUALIFY", and thank you for allowing us to be of service to the Native American Indian today.

 

First Nations Development Institute:  The First Nations Development Institute provides grants for economic development directly to tribes or Native American nonprofit organizations.  Its Native-Asset Building Partnership Coalition offers early investment funding to advance the growth of Native American businesses.

U.S. Department of Commerce: The U.S. Department of Commerce provides a wide variety of grants for Native American job creation purposes. These grants are available to tribal governments, their members, their businesses and companies that do business with Native Americans, whether or not these businesses are located on a reservation. Grants are available for:

  • Economic Development
  • Tourism Promotion
  • Infrastructure Projects.

U.S. Small Business Administration:  The U.S. Small Business Administration generally offers loans rather than grants, but it does allocate monies for "Native American Micro Enterprise Business Services." These grants aren't available to current small businesses for expansion purposes, but they do provide executive and specialized training to qualifying applicants.

Administration for Native Americans:  A subsidiary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Children and Families, the Administration for Native Americans also offers grant opportunities in several business-related areas. These include:

  • Social and Economic Development
  • Sustainable Employment
  • Native American Asset Building

Small Business Ownership:  Although Native American Indians may own grocers, farms, convenient-stores, laundrymats, auto repair shops, motels, garment businesses, and other businesses on Reservation Land they can not get grants or loans for modern-day improvements.  Native American Indians have an extensive presence as owners and operators of antiquated small businesses on reservation lands but are disenfranchised by not being able to modernize and provide employment opportunities to local residents.

Access to Personal and Business Capitol:  Native American Indians are strongly guided by their respective religions and their respect for elders.  Native American Indians have low levels of educational achievements in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.  For Native American Indians, there is a business culture of ownership that is skewed by commerce conditions on reservation lands.   Native Americans Indians are considered a high credit risk.  Native American Indians do not have personal and business access to capital.   The University.edu seeks to establish and propose new lending and grant programs for Native American Indians that are not measured by profit but by services to the impoverished community.

With the internet connecting and reaching the corners of the earth individuals venturing into entrepreneurship has become increasingly popular, as more people seek a way to successfully launch or expand their local business ideas or concepts.

Ethnic Cultural Opportunities:  Opening a franchise in a local market could be a great idea.  Relabeling or rebranding a successful local product for the global market is a noteworthy idea.  Countries rich in Natural Resources should not have poor citizens.  The consumer buying or purchasing experience may not translate into supporting the economy of a particular Ethnic Culture.

Typical examples of Miseducation and Business Perceptions:   All Asians do IT.  A Soul Food Restaurant with no Black People working in it.   Every liquor store in the city is owned by East Indians.  Mexicans are the best Landscapers.  Popeye’s Chicken is Black Owned.  All cars are built by White People or Asian People.  Koreans own the Black and Ethnic Beauty Supply Industry.  Water, Gold, Diamonds, Silver and other precious metals belong to the country and not the Land Owners.

Any adult, college student or non-college student 18 years or older may complete the free and simple pre-registration process for this class without obligation.  However, official Government ID Verification will be required before any Certificates of Completion are issued…

This class does not require heavy or obscure memorization, complex math, or tons of classwork, however a commitment to ‘Researching Current Events’ and some ‘Social Networking’ is required. This class is complete-able in 4 to 6 weeks or less and requires a commitment of 2 to 4 hours per week. To complete this class students must satisfactorily complete and document all assigned course work, such as:
