 GOVERNMENT - Gov101

Citizens of the United States and the world have been experiencing significant social, cultural, and technological changes within their daily lives.  The public sector or citizens mostly impacted by the functional operations of government are principally the low-income and disenfranchised.

Government Cut-Backs:  Cutting food stamps, medical aid, and housing assistance impacts only the low-income and the disenfranchised who depend on the government’s services for their basic survival.  These cut-backs do not save the government money or benefit the middle class, or working Tax Payers.  The cut-backs result in or resolve itself in the need to increase government spending else-where, such as spending for increased prison populations.

What you will study:

What is the PRIVATIZATION of Services vs. Government Provided Services?

The public sector's government experience is being redefined with the government’s challenge to go green and create a Paperless Delivery of Services System.

Smart Phones, Tablets, Laptops, and Computers adaptation by the low-income and disenfranchised is profoundly delayed and not equally accessed as compared to the working and middle class.  This class discusses city, county, state, and Federal Government Programs and Services.

  • Laws enforced by, and Public Services provided by City Government (Mayor)
  • Laws enforced by, and Public Services provided by County Government (Board of Supervisors)
  • Laws enforced by, and Public Services provided by State Government (Governor)
  • Laws enforced by, and Public Services provided by Federal Government (President)

Depending on where you live some forms of government may use different names, like Parrish, Burros, Townships, etc.  This class is not a substitute for studying Government in high school or college.  The primary purpose for this class is for citizens to have a platform, access, and opportunity to work with City, State, and Federal Government agencies to design or redesign public programs and services that truly serve the public’s interest.

The poor and disenfranchised are the biggest users in need of high-quality government services.
