DRUGS - Drugs101

Understanding the Legalization of Marijuana:

  • Marijuana was legalized for limited Possession.
  • Marijuana was legalized for limited Adult Use and Cultivation.
  • Marijuana was legalized for limited Licensed Retail Sales.
  • Marijuana was legalized for limited Commercial Grow.
  • Marijuana was not legalized for Street/Corner Sales.

The Marijuana Movement legalized and created an emerging Cannabis Culture of exclusion and disruption whereby limited legal economic opportunities for inclusion were made available to people of color.

Global Impact:  The Legalization of Marijuana is not universal and is limited to local rules, laws, and enforcement.  Restrictions apply from city-to-city, county-to-county, state-to-state, and country-to-country.  It is highly recommended that you educate yourself before use, possession, selling, and production.

Example:

Can I leave California with Cannabis?

NO..!  It is illegal to bring your cannabis across state lines, even if you are traveling to another state where cannabis is legal.

What you will study:

Community Impact:  The Legalization of Marijuana has led to the overturning, expungement, or criminal records clearing of millions of Marijuana Drug Convictions throughout the USA.

Economic Impact:  The Legalization of Marijuana will send affluent buyers to legalized outlets to purchase Marijuana.  Resulting in the loss of the affluent buyers to the street and corner Marijuana Dealers.

Crime Impact:  Legalizing marijuana has little to no impact on rates of violent or property crime, according to a new study that was conducted and funded by a federal agency.  One of the most notable conclusions is that there has been a reduction in the number of burglaries in low-income communities since the legalization of marijuana.

Impact on the Workforce:  Drug testing and screening for Marijuana in job Applicants and random Employees have not changed.  Legalized use of Marijuana does not qualify or justify you as a hirable, or continued candidate suitable for Employment.

Marijuana Industry Trends:  Large Corporations are forming to extract Marijuana producing Income Opportunities from local communities.

Cannabis Capitalism:  In large part due to the availability of Investment Capital, and logistical needs 80% or more of the entire legalized Cannabis Industry is White Owned and Operated.

Rethinking the "Marijuana Drug Dealer"!

How Weed Becomes White:  This class will focus on “Rethinking the Marijuana Drug Dealer” and how their invisible income impacts the community and local economy.

The invisible income that pays the slumlord rent, purchases cars, pays for monthly utilities and purchases food thus converts illegal green marijuana sales to consume, White American Business Products and Services.
